Mariel Elizabeth Abella
Originally from Kelowna, BC, Filipino-Canadian Mariel Abella currently resides in Vancouver as a general designer in the animation industry, indie artist in the local contemporary art scene, and independent webcomic artist with a combined million views on her work on Tapas. As a jack of all trades, she can work in both animation and graphic design, as well as put tender care into illustration, painting and sculpture. She’s passionate about creating stories based on inclusivity and compassion, and finding the beauty in simple things.
